Welcome to the Village of Bethesda website.
Bethesda was incorporated as a village in 1910 and is located in the heart of Belmont County, Ohio. The Village is home to Epworth Park and the annual Chautauqua Homecoming in July.
We have a beautiful lake in the middle of the park that is perfect for a day of fishing, walking, picnicking, or just relaxing. The park includes a playground, ball fields, shelters, and basketball court. Bethesda is also home to some wonderful Businesses and Organizations.
Every year Epworth Park holds it’s Chautauqua Homecoming. There are food vendors, crafts, cottage tours, a car show presented by BBM Rotary, and, most recently, a firework show.
Bethesda also holds its annual Bethesda Gun Bash that benefits Bethesda Volunteer Fire Department and the Bethesda Park Board. Thanks to generous sponsorships from local businesses, we have been able to fund many different projects for the Fire Department and Park.
